Francene A. Musachia Shaffer, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother went to the Lord on April 12, 2012. Francene was born on July 8, 1942 in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Michael J. Musachia and Margaret Boyd Musachia, and brothers, Samuel Musachia and Michael Musachia. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Albert Shaffer, her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Nicholas Miller and grandchildren, Alyssa and Helene Miller. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Musachia Sager and numerous nieces and nephews. Francene was a selfless woman who faced trying times in her life with grace and dignity, an outward example of her strong faith. She was always thinking of others. A talented artist, she loved painting portraits for friends, and knitting gifts for cancer patients. Those who knew her drew inspiration from her strength, honesty and humor. Francene lived for her family and took great pride in her loving granddaughters and cherished visits to the ocean with her husband, Al. Our hearts are broken, but our love and memories of Nana will live forever. Graveside service and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
