Malcolm Renwick Taylor
April 5, 1933 - September 10, 2009
Malcolm R. Taylor, affectionately known as "Mac", passed away September 10, 2009 at a local hospital. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday September 16th at St. John Vianney, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trl, Houston TX 77079. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at the Houston National Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial, Houston TX 77038.
Mac will be missed by many friends, family and colleagues of the
grocery business. Mac owned and operated a successful food brokerage
company in the Houston area for over 40 years, touching the lives of many people and their families. He was an instant friend to anyone with whom he came in contact. Mac possessed a big heart and was always helping someone, even from his own resources.
We would like to recognize and thank him for spearheading the Houston
Crackdown, an anti-drug program developed to help school children become
educated in a fun way to resist the negative impact of drugs. In April,
1990, Mac received formal acknowledgement and commendation for his efforts from President George H.W. Bush.
Malcolm, the community and friends will miss you and will see you again in Heaven!
